Such a beautifully weird song. It just keeps cycling through that very cool synth progression, sprinkling in those little stick taps for periodic percussion. There’s something weirdly affecting about Eno’s flat, nasal double-tracked vocals. I love how the song slowly brings sounds in—Eno sneaks an organ in right before Robert Fripp’s guitar solo.

And what an oddly fitting solo! It’s not what you’d expect, but it’s perfect, as are the background vocals between and at the end of the two solos. And then John Cale’s viola at the end, which is the only real nod to overt emotionality.
